Qigong on the Holy Island

Date: 21st - 28th August 2024

As a change from his normal weekend courses on the Holy Island, Bob will deliver a week long course that provides the perfect opportunity to learn the much requested “Poem”, a Qigong Form enjoyed by many Teachers and students of Daoyin Yangsheng Gong worldwide.

As the mainstay of the week’s tuition, “The Poem” is a beautiful Qigong practice which, performed frequently, will enhance your physical balance, and wellbeing.

In addition, several evening sessions will introduce participants to the ancient Chinese method of health massage known as Tuina or tui-na (pronounced twee-nah) which is one of the four main branches of traditional Chinese medicine, along with acupuncture, Qigong, and Chinese herbal medicine. The Tuina sessions will focus on specific muscle groups and will be underpinned by a Qigong exercise particular to that anatomical region.

Weather permitting; participants are invited to excursions and talks on St. Molaise’s cave and the rock paintings that depict different deities and Teachers of the Kagyu Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism.

The program will include Karma Yoga - an hour after breakfast each day working with the resident volunteer community, helping with kitchen, house care and garden tasks

This course is available for beginners to advanced students of Qigong.
