LAMLASH CRUISES
EXTRA COURSE INFORMATION
Lamlash Cruises have checked the tide times for your arrival day and departure day and have set your crossing times to suit as follows:
Arrival Day 2 October - 1500 and 1600
Departure Day 6 October - 0930 and 1030
Crossing times and bookings

It is important that all participants are aware of the crossing times above as they should arrange their travel plans accordingly.
Please note we can't offer other times on these days as the tide restrictions determine what is possible.
All participants and organisers should book their place on these dedicated boat crossings on our website at the Residential Guest Crossing page:
These will be available to book via this website from the end of February.
Please note that you only need to select your outward crossing to Holy Isle when booking as your return is automatically included.
It is necessary to book in advance to secure a place and we can’t guarantee to take participants who have not booked with us in advance of arrival day.
Luggage Limits

This year we are introducing specific luggage restrictions. This is necessary for health and safety and we also feel it is best practice overall for everyone’s benefit.
We now will only accept bags up to a maximum of
10 kilograms and limited to two bags per person.
Short residential stays on Holy Isle really do not require extensive luggage and we would ask everyone to be mindful of this, keep their luggage to a minimum and definitely within these weight limits.
We are sure this will enhance the overall travel experience all round and many thanks for your thoughtfulness about this.
Bags that exceed these weights will require to be left at Lamlash, at the owner's own risk, for collection on return.
Organisers who may have specific equipment and materials needed for their event should advise us in advance to quantify so we can make suitable provision for this.
Additional Travel information

Getting to Holy Isle requires everyone to cross from mainland Scotland to the Isle of Arran.
Calmac operate a public ferry service from both Troon and Ardrossan to Brodick on Arran.
All bookings for Calmac can be made online at:
Buses

Buses on Arran
Stagecoach operates the local bus service on Arran.
There is a 323 service from Brodick Ferry Terminal to Lamlash. It takes approximately 10 minutes by bus from Brodick to Lamlash (a distance of 3 miles).
Buses are not always coordinated with the the CalMac ferry arrivals, so please plan well.
Taxis
If you want to use a taxi to get you from Brodick to Lamlash, please be aware that this needs to be booked in advance. There is little chance of getting a taxi without prior booking
Cars and Bicycles

Bringing cars or bikes
If travelling by car or bike to Arran you can arrange this with Calmac as part of your booking.
Once on Arran there are car park facilities close to Lamlash pier where cars can be left free of charge while you stay on Holy Isle.
People with bikes should be aware that we don’t take bikes to Holy Isle.
Similar to cars, bikes can be left at Lamlash during your stay on Holy Isle.
