37 Step Taijiquan Refresher Course

Following from last year's week long intensive course on Cheng Man Ching 37 Step Form of Taijiquan, this weekend course has been requested from the participants.
The weekend will involve basics refresher and a more detailed practice of the Form.
If time permits, the 13 Posture San Shou will be introduced over the weekend.
This weekend is open to those who studied on last years course, and those familiar with this Form.

Qigong can be defined as a skill of body and mind exercise that integrates the three adjustments of the: body, breath and mind into one – Qigong Fa.
Medical Qigong arose from the combination of aspects from Traditional Chinese Medicine and Qigong exercise.
This weekend course centres on the “Exercise for the digestive system” that contains 8 exercises utilising very basic acupuncture theory and coordinated movements that is especially effective for disorders of the liver, stomach, spleen and intestines.

The Cane Form
5th - 7th June

The "Cane" or "Walking stick” Form is an old arrangement of particular movements that is lively, it's fun, and it will keep you fit with regular practice.
This Form is suitable for beginners and those with minimal experience in movement arts.
Many people that have learned this Form in the past have been amazed at how their energy levels increased with repetition of the routine.
You will need to provide your own walking stick. That is: when standing upright, it should reach your waist. One end should be rounded or have a hook as shown above.

Summer Tai Chi Retreat at Samye Ling Tibetan Monastery
14th to 21st of August 2026
Following from last year’s successful Taijiquan summer retreat, once again, we will explore and learn one of the oldest and original Taijiquan Forms from Wudang Shan handed down by the legendary Grandmaster You Xuande.
This is an exquisite 36 posture Form that influences restorative health preservation within the body with continued practice.
This Taijiquan (Tai Chi) Form is suitable for beginner and advanced practitioners.

Qigong Symposium
17th and 18th October 2026

What began initially as a "Qigong Teachers Refresher course" over a few years, has developed into an academic stage of learning under the auspices of Qigongtauk.
This year witnesses the event opening it's doors to the public for the first time to endeavour wider audiences and further learning.
Over Saturday and Sunday, the mornings will be driven by experienced reputable speakers discussing and debating topics of Qigong, where as, the afternoon will be assigned for Special Guest speakers to teach and explore Qigong Forms with all participants. So, mark your diary, come along, and learn about Qigong!
